Digital Citizenship and Technology in the Classroom
The Parents Council of Washington will be hosting our seventh annual Lower and Middle School Forum at the Washington Waldorf School on December 3, 2024 at 7:00pm. Hear from experts, including Nate Green, Academic Technology Coordinator at Sidwell Friends School and contributor to Common Sense Media and Slate; Sarah Heirman, Middle School Math Teacher at Washington Waldorf School; and Susanne Rusan, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, National Presbyterian School on classroom technology and digital citizenship. Discussion topics include:
- How schools view technology in Lower and Middle School classrooms
- Ways schools manage technology health and wellness, including screen access during the school day
- How schools partner with parents on at-home expectations
- Understanding future technology affecting Lower and Middle School students, including artificial intelligence (AI)
